This is my first post on Today.com. Not sure what we’re going to end up writing but I am already excited about the prospect of sharing you everything about our plans to have a baby. Is this TMI? Maybe it is. I’ll have to check with the husband first. Maybe I should just write about the author (i.e. moi) first. I am home alone. As the title of my blog suggests. I am actually an open-collar worker, a telecommuter and I work from home. Alone. All the time! It gets really boring most of the times, but whatever I am doing pays for my bills so I really can’t complain, especially now that the gas prices keep going up, I’m happy to stay at home for a while. I work in the Information Technology field. I used to fiddle around with hubs and switches and Microsoft Servers. Those were the days when I could actually, physically touch and handle these peripherals. I kinda miss it. I don’t have as much fun now as I used to. All I do now is logged in via VPN and use Citrix’s GoToAssist remote assistance software to help my clients with whatever trouble they have. It’s still pretty cool but not as much fun when I actually see the object, and have a face to face conversation with people…. But I see the impending bad news coming closer . I think I’m about to lose my job soon (knock on wood)…
